Safehouse is an ongoing comic series exploring queer spaces in Berlin that no longer exist. Blending archival research, storytelling, and illustration, the project revives places that once served as vital refuges for queer communities, from underground bars to public toilets and secret meeting spots. Each story connects past and present, preserving memories of intimacy, resistance, and belonging within the city’s shifting urban landscape.
