After decades of car-centered urban development, the city is now reducing car traffic, advancing climate-neutral mobility, and strengthening the potential of its compact city center.
This project was carried out through Urban Catalyst as the main contractor, in close collaboration with the City of Aachen. Urban Catalyst led the process and supported the transformation conceptually, practically, and communicatively. A communication concept and a narrative workshop were developed to create a coherent overarching story, using positive, people-centered narratives and clear messaging.
The resulting narrative was translated into a visual scrollytelling experience on the Aachen city center website, allowing visitors to experience the mobility transition through multiple perspectives.
